Tomoaki KOGA has been with the Environment Survey Section of Kyushu Electric Power Company, Inc. since August 1998. From 1996 to 1998, he was on loan to the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy, under the Science and Technology Agency (STA). At that time, he engaged in the sixth technology forecast survey, a survey carried out by STA every five years. His master's degree in engineering (metallic and material technology) is from Waseda University, Tokyo.
