Anupam Nidhi holds a Postgraduate degree in Human Resources from Symbiosis, Pune and Masters in Labour Law and Labour Welfare from Pune University. She is an Agriculture Graduate from Punjab Agricultural University, Punjab. Born in the state capital of present Bihar, she spent most of her childhood in Delhi. Anupam started her career in the IT sector as Assistant Manager Human Resource. Her major tasks were to structure and set up the Human Resources function in the company. She later took to provide services in setting up the Human Resource policies to a Pune based not for profit organization known for its contributions in Micro Finance sector. This brief but exhaustive exposure to the development sector made her appreciate the immense challenges the development sector face in the areas of Human resource, Capacity Building, organization development and the opportunities attached.
She left the Corporate and joined a renowned grass root level member based organization called “SEWA Bharat†for experimenting the ideas and also enriching her experience by working for the issues on Micro finance and livelihood. She was coordinating the Micro Finance program across SEWA’s and instrumental in making road maps to make them sustainable in the program approach. She has delivered sessions at various platforms. She was responsible for building the capacities of the microfinance and livelihood team at all levels. Her strength lies in working with the grass roots. She was also a member of the task force constituted by Urban and Poverty alleviation Ministry; Government of India.
Currently she is working with LEAD India as the Program Coordinator (Training and Projects). Her responsibilities at LEAD include; development and design of training curriculum for short courses, facilitation and coordination of training programs including the Cohort training. She intends to use her grass root experiences for building capacities of leaders and the youth of India through participatory natural resource management.
