Aditi Chadha Kapoor is a well-known journalist, development consultant and trainer in communications, advocacy and campaigning. She currently works with Alternative Futures as Director (Policy). It is development research and communication group.

Before joining Alternative Futures she was with Oxfam India as Economic Justice Lead Specialist with overall national responsibility for leading, designing and delivering on Oxfam's work on livelihoods and climate change in India and liasioning globally within Oxfam's international affiliates. Earlier, Aditi worked with Oxfam GB's South Asia office as its media lead in addition to work on advocacy, campaigning and training. Winner of the 1998 LEAD Fellowship, her LEAD Research focused on rural women and natural resource management, linking environment, development and gender issues from a practice and policy perspective. Correspondent with The Times of India for over a decade and winner of the 1992 Statesman Award for Rural Reporting, Aditi has specialised in media, gender, environment and development. She has worked as a consultant with several government departments, United Nations agencies and NGOs to research, evaluate and document issues, processes and policies related to poverty and community development. Aditi is a founder trustee of Alternative Futures, a development research and communications group based in New Delhi. She has been a member of the LEAD-India Board (earlier Nations Steering Committee) and the Board of World Resources Institute, Washington D.C. (2000-09). Aditi has several papers to her credit and has participated in various national and international meets. Aditi's husband, Rakesh Kapoor, is a founder and Managing Trustee of Alternative Futures and Consulting Editor of The Journal of Policy, Planning and Futures Studies published by Elsevier Science, Oxford. They have two sons, Anshul and Aayush.
