Anil K. Agnihotri presently working as Deputy General Manager Corporate Safety Health & Environment in Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited, New Delhi, in India. Presntly he is looking after the corporate environment of ONGC. Prior to this assignment he worked as Chief Chemist at Corporate Health , Safety & Environment in Mumbai division in the field of microbial enhancement of oil recovery. He received Ph.D from Lucknow University in 1979. He has authored various papers and a book on environmental management in the petroleum industry and is particularly interested in biotechnology, wastewater treatment, and landfill gas. Dr. Agnihotri enjoys reading and presenting lectures on the subject of environmental issues.He has extensively worked on energy recovery from municipal solid wastes inthe U.P. province of India.He has been instrumental in development of various policy documents for the enactment of waste to energy projects in the state of Uttar Pradesh & commissioning of first municpal solid waste (MSW) to energy plant in the city of Lucknow(5 MW out of 300MT of MSW).
