Theresia Wuryantari is currently working as the Programme Officer Disaster Management at the Hivos Regional Office Southeast Asia in Jakarta. In her capacity, she is in charge of Hivos RO SEA program in Aceh on emergency and rehabilitation/reconstruction works for the population affected by tsunami as well as future potential programs in other disaster-prone areas in Indonesia. Before joining Hivos, Theresia worked for Oxfam GB Indonesia for humanitarian programme works with a focus on conflict- and natural disaster affected areas and communities in Indonesia, especially those displaced by the conflict and natural disaster. She had also a number of experiences in natural resource management works, for instance during her tenure with WWF in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Disaster mangement and natural resource management with right-based approach are her main interests. She has been educated at the Faculty of Law of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London, London, where she took up majors in human rights law and the international environmental law and wrote a dissertation addressing corporate liability and accountability, either in home country and host country jurisdiction.
