She works for the Ministry of the Environment, in the division of Atmopshere and Climate Change. She is currently responsible for implement ozone layer protection program in Indonesia.. Previously she has involved in the development of a Cleaner Production Program, since it was introduced and established in Indonesia in 1993. The objective of the program is to reduce and minimize pollution load by implementing cleaner production approach. The activities include provide technical assistance to industrial sector, facilitate training and awareness program, and develop technical guidelines and publications.

Prior her job as the government official, from 1990 to 1993 she worked as a design engineer in the consultant company. She worked for a drinking water system improvement project in Jakarta, which was funded by the World Bank.

Ms. Tri Widayati obtained a first and second degree from the Faculty of Environmental Engineer, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). She participated as a participant or resource person in several certified courses including Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Auditor, Cleaner Production Technology, and Hazardous Waste Management that were carried out either in Indonesia or other country.
