Amalia FIRMAN has been a consultant to the Indonesian Environmental Control Agency, US-AID, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Transmigration, Ministry of Public Works and various private companies. She is interested in environmental management and all aspects of development.

A. Firman has a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Hawaii, USA, and a bachelor's degree from the Institute of Technology of Bandung. She also studied development management at the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines.
