Violeta ORLOVIC LOVREN is currently in Belgrade, Serbia. She is teaching at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy, Department for Adult Education. She took her PhD in December 2011, at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. The central issue of the dissertation is "Adult Education and Capacity development for Sustainable Management of Protected Areas". Before that, she was working as training manager on various development projects funded by USAID, with DAI and CHF International. She is also President of Environmental NGO called E - team, as well as the member of the Executive Board of Association of Andragogists of Serbia (DAS). Beside that, she is being engaged as environmental and capacity development consultant in numerous projects, related to social and education aspects of biodiversity, nature conservation and sustainable tourism in Serbia as well as in the Balkans. Violeta used to work in the Institute for the Protection of Nature of Serbia, as Head of Department for Education/Communication (1995-2003). During that period, she established valuable international contacts and became member of IUCN Commission on Education and Communication, of IUCN WCPA European Training Task Force, as well as of IUCN CEESP Collaborative Management Working Group (now TGER).
In the year 2007, Violeta won Hubert Humphrey Fellowship from US State Department and spent a year in Seattle, WA, affiliated with University of Washington.
