Angela Coulton is a senior policy adviser at the UK Government Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). Her main area of responsibility is development of the evidence base to support UK Government policy on sustainable consumption and production. She is also providing input on sustainable consumption and production issues to the UK Food Industry Sustainability Strategy.

She has previously worked on development of the UK Sustainable Development Strategy and led work on Sustainable Procurement in UK central Goverment departments

Angela has a BA(Hons) Geology from St Peter's College Oxford and a PhD in Geology from the State University of New York at Albany.

Her interests include contemporary floral design and cooking
