Alexandra MEXA is an environmental planner. She is a Ph.D candidate and member of the Environmental Planning Laboratory, Department of Environmental Studies, at the University of the Aegean, Greece. She is currently involved in projects on coastal management, sustainable island development and tourism planning issues. Her expertise is the areas of strategic environmental planning, scenario modelling and integrated coastal zone and islands management.

She has a degree in chemistry and master's in environmental studies. She speaks Greek, English and French.
