LI Wenjun is an associate professor at the Center for Environmental Sciences, Peking University. She completed her Ph.D. degree on nature resources planning and management at Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing (1997). Recent Years, she has been engaged in research of nature resources conservation, especially ecotourism in protected areas. She has chaired 4 projects about ecotourism, which are supported by National Nature Sciences of China, UNESCO MAB Program, Canada International Development Agency (CIDA), and the State Environmental Protection Administration respectively. She has published 20 papers in academic journals including some in SCI journals and international symposiums. She is a winner of UNESCO Young Scientists Award (Year 2000) for MAB Program. Besides research, she also teaches a graduate-level course in GIS (Geographic Information System) Applications in Environmental Management and Planning.
