Dr. Ling is an assistant researcher with the China International Trust and Investment Corporation where he does research and consulting work. He earned his doctorate from the Chinese Academy of Social Science and his master's degree from the People's University of China. With a background in economics, Dr. Ling is interested in conducting a cost/benefit analysis of public expenditures, analyzing the development strategy of an open economy and researching labor patterns in the context of a dual economy. He has participated in several conferences on the environmental economics, including the Forum on Economic Cooperation and Development in Northeast Asia and in Khabarovsk in the Commonwealth of Independent States. His published materials include Macroeconomic Regulations in the Process of Market-Oriented Reform in China.
