Ana Lucia DA CRUZ coordinates the National Council for the Environment for Brazil's Ministry of Environment, Water Resources and Legal Amazon. In the governmental sector, she was involved in the Agrarian Reform Program in Brazil for five years. She has been concerned with public policies affecting ecosystems in the Amazon region through her work at the Institute for Amazonian and Environmental Studies in the United States and the World Resource Institute in Brazil. She has a bachelor's degree in agronomy from the University of Brasilia and a master's degree in international development policy from Duke University (USA).
