In the past, Ms. Muller worked as a legal advisor with the First Intermunicipal Partnership for the Conservation of the Cuiaba River Basin and with the Prefeitura Municipal de Cuiaba. Currently, she works as a coordinator in the Environmental Protection Agency of the Fundacao Estadual de Meio Ambiente. As an attorney, she is active in the field of environmental law Institute of the State University of New York in the United States, is interested in public policy and environmental legislation, specifically as they relate to Brazilian rainforests and wetlands. She is a member of the Instituto de Pesquisas e Estudos Ambientais and Pro-Natura International, a non-governmental organization active in environmental protection. She participated in the International Environmental law Conference in Rio de Janeiro in October 1991, the Global Forum also in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 and the First Meeting of Environmental Attorneys in 1994 in Saluador, Brazil.
