My passion has always been the environment, which lead me to read biochemistry in the federal university of Technology, Akure. The course entailed the life sciences of human, food and the environment, toxicology and its effects on the environment and humans and plant biochemistry. I graduated with second class division and moved on to do my compulsory one year humanitarian work serving the nation in the east of Nigeria, a place called Owerrinta, Abia State. I was involved in volunteer work assisting in encouraging sustainable development in the local communities. I participated in focus groups involved in the adoption of the best practice in tackling environmental matters in the area. To further my education I worked in the customer care division of a telecommunication for three years and then proceeded to the University of Edinburgh in Scotland were I acquired an M.sc in Environmental Protection and Management.
I was involved in a project with my school mates where we were given a task of determining the water quality of the river Imlil, in Marrakesh, Morocco. At the moment, I work as an Environmental officer for an oil marketing/sales company as I believe environmental ethics and laws should be complied by organizations that are prone to affect the environment.I am committed to my career as an environmentalist and my future goal is to work with an international organization that is committed to tackling environmental issues.
