Ari joined the British Council Indonesia in mid 2006 and currently holds the position as Projects Manager in the Social Development Unit working on areas such as Governance, Community Development and Climate Change.

She previously worked at the World Bank (2005 – 2006) as a Social Development Specialist conducting research, monitoring projects, managing a trust fund and writing publications. She worked as a consultant for the World Bank Anti Poverty Programme in Rural Areas (2001 – 2004).

Ari has also worked as a journalist for Voice of America. She was one of the Indonesia Youth Delegates for the Youth Conference on Social Development (1998) in Japan.

She graduated from the University of Indonesia in 1998 and received a bachelor degree in Mass Communications. She was then awarded British Chevening Award (2004-2005) to continue her Master degree at University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK on International Relation and Development Studies.
