Zheng Wei is the Corporate Grant Specialist for Plan International in China, and he is primarily responsible for implementing Plan China’s corporate-community partnership strategy with multinational companies in China, advising companies on how to do effective community programs within the China context. During his past two years and half with Plan, the organization has built up partnerships with a list of major Fortune 500 companies which include Anglo America, Atlas Copco, RBS, Microsoft, Target, JP Morgan, Hilton, Accor, etc, and has also announced one of the largest community investment projects in Asia with Nokia, a 9 million USD grant to support the rural pre-school education in China. Previously Zheng Wei worked in Canada’s leading energy company EnCana’s CSR project in Canada and worked in an international group which was created to help build the capacity of local NGOs in Calgary. Zheng Wei has an education background from the nationally prestigious Journalism School in People’s University of China, and he is also an explorer of social innovation through internet and media: being as the editor for www.governance.cn and a contributor of www.china-crossroads.com.
