Alena Dodoková is a lawyer and project manager at the Czech NGO Institute for Environmental Policy, where she deals with a ranging number of issues such as policy analysis or transposition checking but also research into sustainability issues of spatial planning and public participation in it. Her special field of interest is the Aarhus Convention. She elaborates studies on the cross-cutting issues also looking into environmental economy. She also worked as a legislative coordinator of Green Circle – Czech association of environmental NGOs.

She cooperates with other NGOs but also with academics and public authorities in order to contribute with the opinions and experiences that can help the issue. She admires people who are ready to raise their voice when their environment is threatened and who are ready to defend it. She comes from Bratislava, Slovakia and holds a full degree in law from Charles University, Prague.
