Anggriani Arifin is a researcher at the Urban and Regional Development Institute (URDI), a non-for-profit institute that aims at the realization of sustainable urban and regional development. Her educational background encompasses of Bachelor Degree in Sociology from University of Indonesia, Jakarta and Master Degree in Social Policy from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. A large portion of her work is assisting execution of projects in relation with urban environmental management, good governance and land development, serving as a researcher or as an expert, with clients ranging from governmental institutions, donor agency and international/ local NGOs. She is now currently focus on developing schemes on community-based initiatives at the city level.
