Eduardo VÃ¡zquez Herrera is the Executive Director of Consejo Consultivo del Agua, A.C. (CCA), a non profit organization whose main goals are to promote, articulate and support efforts to achieve the strategic change needed for a sustainable and efficient use of water in Mexico.
Before joining CCA in December 2003, Eduardo was a consultant for a federal program for modernization and funding of water utilities and advised in public tender procedures. Previously, he was Director of Legislation at the Bureau of Legal Counsel to Mexicoâ€™s President where he participated in the draft and negotiation of laws and regulations submitted to Congress and followed up legislative processes. He also worked as an advisor in Mexico Cityâ€™s Legislature.
Eduardo holds a Master of Science in Comparative Politics from The London School of Economics and Political Science; a Diploma in Public Management from CIDE and University of Colorado at Denver and a Law Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana.
His interests are focused on integrated water resources management and sustainable development.
He likes philanthropic activities, sports, traveling, music, gastronomy and reading.
