Biography (English):
Alma Abreu is Chief of the Diagnosis Department at the Department of Environment of the State of Mexico; she is participant in the
management and pursuit of the measures related to the enhancement of air quality at the Mexico Valley Metropolitan Zone.
Before joining the Government of the State of México, Alma collaborated in CIEAAC, a ONG with the mission of supporting
Studies and Projects, for setting Public Policy in Environmental Matter at the State of Mexico.
Her interests and work experience have focused her work to the policy to address environment and development concerns in
metropolitan zones. She is particularly interested in issues of health, environment, transport and mobility and energy, related to
measures of mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change.
Alma is an economist by training, with a BD from the Metropolitan Autonomous University in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City and
specialization on Environmental Management from the National Institute of Public Administration.
