
Victoria ELIAS is Conservation Programme Director of WWF Russia. She is responsible for the coordination of thematic programmes as wel as regional offices work of the organisation. Victoria is also a member of LEAD International Board of Directors since 2006? participates in different international programmes and processes and serves on boards of several international and national NGOs. Prior to joining WWF, she was for 8 years a Chair and coordinator of the European ECO-Forum - Environmental NGO Coalition of the UN-ECE region and worked at Eco-Accord, Russia. Victoria is involved deeply in policy and practice on Education on Sustainable Development at national and pan-European level, she participated in developing of UNECE and Russian Strategies on ESD and continues this work. She is also engaged in research and training and gives lectures on environmental policy and civil society in Moscow State University. Ms. Elias has a number of publications on civil society, public participation, eduction for sustainable development and environmental policy and practice. Her interests are related to sustainable development, global governance, multistakeholder partnerships,education for sustainable development and conservation. She also has experience on water and tourism issues. Ms.Elias has PhD in biology from Moscow Lomonosov State University. She has been trained additionally on ecotoxicology and NGO management.
